of Mr. Matthew J. Cook, a researcher, consultant, web designer,
concerned citizen and community activist.
The site highlights Matt's work as a
researcher at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn), consultant
for hire, and web designer at Web Design by
Cookie. On MatthewJCook.com you'll learn
about Matt's research experience, consulting experience, volunteer
activities, web design skills, and his personal life including hobbies,
family, and personal views.
Researcher Most of Matt's public health services research has focused in the
area of substance abuse intervention and prevention however, he
has a broad array of interests in the field of community psychology
and prevention including literacy, learning
styles, HIV/AIDS, prostate cancer, and school transitions. Consultant Matt has served as a consultant to non-profit social
service agencies, health departments, research projects
surrounding community development, research design, use of the
mass media, data collection, data analysis, and for more
technical aspects of projects including database set up and web
design. Photographer Matt enjoys taking pictures of all sorts
of things particularly architecture and buildings. Most pictures
are quite bad, however on occasion he manages to get a few nice
one's. One photograph was even featured on a local
NBC television
station's "HOT SHOTS" feature on the evening news. Teacher Matt has been a teaching assistant
for Developmental Psychology, Human Development, and Biostatics
courses at Fairfield University and the University of
Connecticut (UConn). He is currently a co-instructor for Introduction to
Biostatistics at the UConn Health
Center. Volunteer Community service, volunteerism, and activism have always been a main focus in
Matt's life. He thinks it helps to ground
you. Within this section, you can learn about his experience as
a Big Brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, his
membership on the Connecticut Coalition To Stop Underage
Drinking, as well as other community service activities with a
variety of different agencies. Web Designer As the owner and president of Web Design
by Cookie, a Internet consulting and web design firm based in
the insurance capital of the world, Hartford, Connecticut, Matt
has extensive experience developing,
implementing, and managing web design projects. If you are interested

(or a woman for that matter),
his personal life. Well I guess by sharing it with you it won't
